Parker and Paul Hodges were involved with Barefoot Contessa
for more than a decade before finding the perfect spot to call
their own hidden away in the back of the Hampton Watercraft
Marina in Hampton Bays. The building used to be used for boat
painting until the marina turned it into a bar. Ten years later, the
Canal Café was launched, and is now in it’s sixth year.
“Canal Café is never stuffy and always comfortable.
We try to make it as un-Hamptons-like as possible.
Our vibe is “70s Cape Cod”
The brothers, who are also the chefs, wnated to create a laid-back, casual,
friendly atmosphere where you can go to enjoy good company and great food,
with no pretention.There’s no china or silverware at the cafe...only plastic utensils
and paper plates. However the food is anything but basic. Check out some of
